八大秀(八通關山、大水窟山、秀姑巒山)

Four days challenge.
Splendid Eight which includes Mt. Batongguan, Mt. Dashueiku and Mt. Xiuguluan. Mt. Batongguan is No.46 Peak of “Taiwan One Hundred Peaks”, which is 3,335m in altitude. Mt. Dashueiku is No.13 Peak of “Taiwan One Hundred Peaks”, which is 3,642m in altitude. Mt. Xiuguluan is No.6 Peak of “Taiwan One Hundred Peaks”, which is 3,805m in altitude. The length of the trail is approximate 32.4km.

Starting from Batongguan old trail, you will meet the arduous cliff, majestic Yulong waterfall, the beautiful grassland and the old Japanese police post. Then arrived the no. 1 of Central Mountain Range, Mt. Xiuguluan. You will meet Mt. Dashueiku at the last. We strongly recommend to take around four days to hike up there.

Four days trip:
First day takes 4 hours (5.8k) to the LeLe Cabin. Second day takes 7.5 hours (11.8k) hike to Batongguan grassland and
3 hours (6.3k) to Central Goldmine Cabin. Three day takes 5~6 hours (5.7k) to Mt. Xiuguluan and 3.5 hours (4.7k) to Mt. Dashueiku. After that, hike back to campsite. Last day takes 13 hours (27k) all the way back to trailhead. Total would be 5,413m elevation gain hiking.
