Single Day challenge.
Mt. Sqoyaw is No.44 Peak of “Taiwan One Hundred Peaks", which is 3,345m in altitude. The total length of the trail is approximate 17km.
Mt. Sqoyaw is the only way that can hike across Skilan River and reach Mt. Snow in the old days. It’s a challenge one for day trip hikers as you have to go uphill for 8.5k with 1700km in height.
One day trip:
Take around 1 hours (3.1km) hike to 3.1 campsite, 1.5 hours (6km) to Saijiuliang campsite, 3 hours (8.2km) to hike to summit and take 4 hours back to trailhead. Total would be 3,347m elevation gain hiking.
