八通關山上玉主

Three or four days challenge.
Mt. Batongguan is No.46 Peak of “Taiwan One Hundred Peaks”, which is 3,335m in altitude and the length of the trail is approximate 17.15km.
Mt. Batongguan was the old way to Mt. Jade under Japanese occupation. Compare to new trail from Tataka, it’s twice the difficulty to hike up especially some places are broken after serious typhoons and earthquakes. We strongly recommend to take more than three days to hike up.
Three days trip:
First day takes 8 hours (13.6k) to the GuanGuo campsite and you will past by two waterfall. Second day takes 6 hours (8.2k) hike to Batongguan grassland and
Laonong river. Last day takes 2~3 hours (1.9k) to Mt. Jade Main Peak and then all the way to trailhead. Total would be 3,835m elevation gain hiking.
