白姑大山

[Back]
One or two days challenge.
Mt. Baigu is No.45 Peak of “Taiwan One Hundred Peaks”, which is 3,341m in altitude and the length of the trail is approximate 9.8km.

Baigu Mountain is among the tougher peaks and in the past it was often climbed from near Deji on highway eight, to the north, an extremely steep and strenuous route. We strongly recommend to take two days and camp there.

Two days trip:
First day takes around 6 hours (5.2k) hike to Pine-needle campsite. Second day takes 5 hours (4.7k) to the summit then all the way back to trailhead. Total would be 2,251m elevation gain hiking.
Single day trip:
You probably takes 14~18 hours (9.85k) hike to the top and then all the way back to trailhead. This is very challenging in time.
