Xiakelo Historial Trail is 1,600~1,900m in altitude and the length of the trail is approximate 23km.

Xiakelo Historial Trail is the first national trail. Syakaro is an Atayal word for Formosan Michelia and the trail got its name because there used to be a lot of Formosan Michelia trees. During autumn season, the entire trail is in red.
