瓦拉米古道是八通關越嶺道東段的一部分，全長約14公里，坡度緩、視野佳，步道沿著拉庫拉庫溪谷而上，具有亞熱帶至寒帶特色的完整生態體系，蘊育著豐富多樣的動植物資源，可分成前段「步道口─山風瀑布」、中段「山風瀑布─佳心」及後段「佳心─瓦拉米山屋」；遊客和親子家庭可步行至前段或中段，為一般健行步道；後段需辦理入山（園）證、較適合有中級山或負重露營經驗的山友，屬於中級登山步道。

Walami Trail: Gateway to Taiwan’s Wild East Ridge
Tucked in the lush mountains of Yushan National Park, the Walami Trail (瓦拉米古道) is one of Taiwan’s most accessible entries into the legendary Batongguan Cross-Mountain Trail, once linking the east and west of the island. This eastern section stretches about 14 kilometers along the Lakulaku River Valley, gradually climbing through one of the island’s most complete ecological zones — from warm subtropical forests to misty temperate woodlands.
