新潟越後地區 是川端康成諾貝爾文學獎名著《雪國》的原型地，也是日本歷史最悠久、規模最宏大的滑雪勝地之一。得益於日本海吹來的冷空氣與越後山脈的地形交會，這裡每年冬天都會迎來世界級的豪雪與頂級粉雪。

Immortalized by Nobel laureate Yasunari Kawabata in his classic novel Snow Country, the Echigo region in Niigata Prefecture is one of Japan’s most celebrated winter sports destinations. Cold weather systems sweeping across the Sea of Japan collide with the Echigo mountain range, blanketing the area in deep, world-class powder snow (Japow) every winter.
