自合歡西峰三叉路口左下華崗，要經一段滿山杜鵑的急下切山坡才能抵合歡溪，雨季溪水暴漲最好不要走，或是準備繩索強渡確保安全，渡過合歡溪還得走一段長約五公里的產業道路到華崗，這五公里路相當美，曾是霧社事件拍片取景處，但沿路落石處很多，雨季要小心落石。

Hehuan North–West Traverse to Huagang
This ridgewalk combines two of Taiwan’s most accessible 100 Peaks with the charm of a mountain descent into Huagang village.
